Environmental Officer
The job:
- To advise and guide Management, Staff and Contractors of the Company on the need to implement mitigation measures set by the State Environment Protection Department (EPD) or the Federal Department of Environment (DOE)
- To liaise with external environmental consultant in preparing the Environmental Monitoring Reports (EMR)
- To liaise with EPD and DOE on environmental issues from time to time
- To attend to public inquiries regarding environmental issues
- To conduct visits and prepare reports on any environmental calamities in the project area
- To understand and disseminate latest information, laws, rules and regulations set by Government departments on environmental issues to the Management
The Requirements:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Management / Ecology / Engineering or a Master's Degree in the field of environment
- Undergone practical training in Environmental Management during post university studies
- Well exposed to Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) studies
- Familiar with ISO 14000 (EMS)
- Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English (spoken and written)
- Good interpersonal skills
- Possess a valid driving license and own vehicle
