We are an active Forest Management Unit (FMU) in the middle of Borneo. Our vision is to "Bring Back the Natural Forest and Manage its Sustainably". And we are here for the long term.
We are involved in timber harvesting, re-forestation, rubber planting and latex tapping as well as sawmilling activities. We have offices in Kota Kinabalu, Tawau and Sandakan. Our main operations are located in Tibow (between Keningau and Tawau), Sabah.
Due to expansion, we are looking for a motivated and dedicated individual to fill up the following position based in Tawau.
Junior Programmer / Application Developer
Main Responsibilities:
- Work closely with senior programmer to create and update current desktop / web based applications for Log Flow Information System (LFIS), Plantataion Information System (PIS), and future applications
- Understand management requirements and design / update applications accordingly
- Responsible for development inclusive of programming and database maintenance
- Provide technical support and training to end user when required
- Create / update software documentation and manual
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Well versed in VB.New or Visual Basic 6 programming language
- Basic knowledge in any of these programming language: Java, PHP, HTML, GIS map integration (Dot Spatial / MapWinGIS)
- Basic knowledge in MySQL, Microsoft Access database, or SGLite
- Experience in developing database-driven application, website OR mobile app is a plus
- Fresh graduate is encouraged to apply
- 1year programming experience (optional)
- Any sample software project is required to be presented in the CV
