COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER, BORNEO PROGRAMME
(Based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah)
Responsibilities
-To develop strategies to increase public awareness and media exposure WWF-Malaysia conservation works
-To conceptualise and develop programmatic commucation materials as needed
-To ensure the standardisaion and regulation of all printed materials being produced by all communicators
-To represent the Borneo Programme in communication or media-related activities when necessary (internally and externally)
Requirements
-Bachelor's degree or higher in Mass Communication, Journalism or development communication
-Strong professional backgound/experience in communication management, development communicaiton, public relations or journalism, and dealing with the media with a minimum of 7 years related experience at managerial level
-Ability to formulate communication strategies
-Strong leadership quality to lead a small team of communicators within the Borneo Programme
NATURAL RESOUCE OFFICER
(Based in Semporna, Sabah)
Responsibilities
-To conduct a study on the economic importance of Semporna's marine uses and ecosystems by reflecting the multiple uses of its resource (toursm, fisheries, etc) within the overall context of Sabah based on existing govermnment plans
-To develop a framework that would suggest how investment in conservation can yield high economic and development activities (particularly in relation to marine toursm and fisheries) to support on-going project activities towards the sustainable management of the Semporna PCA
Requirements
-Postgraduate degree in Economics, preferably related to Marine Science or related discipline
-3 to 5 years experience in research and economic analysis with prior experience in fieldwork
-Experience in conducting field surveys / research, and data collection and analysis especially related to marine resources would be an advantage
-Excellent analytical skills in developing demand forecasting and cost-benefit analysis
ASSISTANT COMMUNITY AWARENESS AND EDUCATION OFFICER
Responsibilities
-To ensure that conservation objectives of the Sulu-Sulawesi Marine Ecoregion (SSME) Programme are met through the engagement of stakeholderws in the area through Communication, Education, Participation, and Awareness campaigns
-To work closely with the relevant government agencies, Non-Governmental Organisations the private sector, and communities in building awareness and support for marine conservation in the Semporna PCA of the Sulu-Sulawesi Marine Ecoregion
-To conduct surveys and interviews to establish rofile and gather information on resource uses of marine resources and species, including marine urties and coral reef fishes (e.g, humphead wrasse, groupers) in the Semporna PCA
Requirements
-Bachelr's degree in Marine Sciences / Education / Sociology / Anthropology or related discipline
-Experience in informal community education activities would ve preferred
-Good command of written and spoken Bahasa Malaysia and English. Ability to speak Bajay and Suluk language is preferred
-Knowledge of Geographic Information System (GIS) is desired
PROGRAMME OFFICER (FISHERIES), SEMPORNA PRIORITY CONSERVATION AREA
Responsibilities
-To develop and implement activities aligned with sustainable fisheries and aquaculture in the Semporna PCA, and implement practical interventions and initiatives for conservations and sustainable development involving key stakeholders and benefiting the local community
-To conduct conservation status assessment of resource-use drivers, patterns and biology on coral reef fish and target species
-To facilitate workshops and studies on sustainable fisheries, feasibility study on interated aquaculture (e.g fishes; seaweed; sea cucumbers) and develop pilot projects
-To increase awareness and facilitate adoption of sustainable fisheries and sustainable use of marine recources
Requiements
-Bachelor of Science in Fisheries, Marine Biology, Conservation Biology, or Economics, with at least 3 years experience in natural resources management or economics
- 1-2 years experience working with coastal fishing communities and / or the fishing industry and governments, preferably in resource management
-Experience in conducting field surveys / research, data collection and analysis, especially related to marine conservation, would be an advantage
PROGRAMME OFFICER (MARINE SPECIES)
Responsibilities
-To conduct surveys, inventory, profiles and studies for marine species and habits
-To organise and conduct stakeholders / workshops and dialogues
-To establish a marine turtle hatchery programme
-To engage with the local communities in identifying and addressing critical issues and conflicts related to socio-economic development and conservation in the project area
Requirements
-A graduate with academic and preferably professional background in a field relevant to environmental / natural resource management, conservation biology or social / biological sciences
-Working experience relevant to marine conservation and community engegement would be preferred
-Able to work minimal supervision, both in the field and in the office
-Experience in conducting field surveys / research and data collection and analysis especially related to marine conservation / management theme would be an advantage

-Expetise in architectural and interior scene rendering is preferred

INTERIOR DESIGNER (ID)
-Male or female, Malaysian / PR, not more than 35 years old
-At least three (3) years working experience in interior design or related field
-Candidate must have at least a Diploma in interior design, Bachelor's Degree or related qualifications
-Responsible for all design related aspects - produce conceptual creative office and residential interior design, space planning, construction, drawing documentation and assist in managing all aspects of design and site implementation
-Expertise in 3D Studio Max and AutoCAD is required (Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or equivalent design programs is an advantage)
-Possess initiative with the ability to think independently and creatively
LARG FORMAT PRINT OPERATOR (PO)
-Must have at least three (3) years experience in related field
-In-depth knowledge of large format inkjet printer, plotting machine and laminator operation is required (Additional training will be provided if necessary)
-Working knowledge of Illustrator and / or Coreldraw is preferred
-Ability to monitor and maintain the quality of all print related production
